Position Overview: As a Customer Assistant in the Café, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers have an enjoyable dining experience. You will be responsible for serving food and beverages, handling transactions, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the café area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their food and beverage orders.
• Prepare and serve a variety of food and drinks in accordance with M&S standards.
• Operate cash registers, handle transactions accurately, and manage payments.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the café area, including tables, chairs, and serving counters.
• Stock and replenish food and beverage items as needed.
• Ensure high standards of presentation and merchandising in the café area.
• Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth café operations.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a café, restaurant, or food service environment is preferred but not essential.
• Strong customer service skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
• Food hygiene certification is desirable but not essential.
